I am a mountain guide, outdoor educator, and photographer and have lived in the Eastern Sierra of California since 1988. My work involves teaching climbing, mountaineering, outdoor skills and natural history to people of all ages. A personal interest is building constituents for preservation, protection and sustainable use of public land. To that end I also work for a non-profit, Friends of the Inyo
doing much the same work - leading and teaching groups in the outdoors. Often the focus on these programs - in addition to learning outdoor skills - is volunteer service work on public lands, like trail maintenance and restoration work.
My work takes me to deserts and mountains as well as seashores and other habitats, usually with photographic equipment in tow... My specific photographic focus is on bird photography. I also enjoy providing participants of my trips with high quality pictures from their adventures.
